New Year New Me!

But everyone says that right?

I find myself coming into 2025 looking for a way through what has been to me a muddied start to my author career. I’ve made several promises to myself despite the upheaval that 2024 ended up being. So, I’m leaving that behind and starting afresh!

What does that mean exactly? A list of endeavours that I hope will inspire me to continue creating.

I have three main areas I’m focussing on for the year:

• Writing

  • Contemporary story close to home I’ve been reading a few contemporary stories of late and been really inspired with how they have made me feel.

  • Try and get a publishing deal for my two finished historical novels - I’ve been in a real slump about this and it was a real downer way to end 2024.

  • WRITE A NOVELLA! A Christmas project or if anyone has an anthology opening would be willing to commit to that too.

• Home and Garden

  • My back garden is horrendous and uninspiring, I am going to change that and throw as much green thumb love I can at it this year.

  • Finish creating my gallery wall inspired by watching way too much HGTV.

  • I want an oasis inside and out by Christmas 2025

• A new hobby - Book Binding!

  • This has been on my mind for some time, and I love the idea of creating something practical from books and stories that have inspired me.

  • I just have to buy the tools now!

So that’s me for 2025, I’m beefing up my substack to narrate these endeavours I hope you’ll stick around to see!
